In 2007, we – Annette Clemens, Antje Rudhart and Petra Schildbach – joined forces to establish marketnow! The Tourism Marketing Experts, in order to combine our knowledge of the industry and our expertise in the most diverse areas of tourism, and thus achieve the best possible result for our customers. With creative ideas, flexible customer orientation, best interconnected contacts.
Annette Clemens’ qualifications include almost 20 years of experience in destination marketing. She already gained a first practical insight into the marketing of various Caribbean destinations during her studies in geography and tourism management at Trier University.
Following her studies, Annette Clemens worked for a well-established tourism & PR agency where she inter alia developed a travel agent e-learning program for Jamaica, one of the first in the travel industry. She was also an account manager for the Province of Nova Scotia for three years before she started working for the German branch of the Canadian Tourism Commission overseeing activities in the fields of consumer marketing & publishing and training courses for travel agents. Since 2009, Annette Clemens has lived and worked in Switzerland.
Antje Rudhart has 25 years of experience in the tourism industry in which she has built up a broad network. Her core business is marketing of high-end destinations and tourism service providers. After gaining operational experience as a travel agent and product manager for a tour operator, she studied business administration with a focus on travel management and tourism.
Before founding marketnow!, Antje Rudhart worked for ten years as business development and destination manager for two of the leading German tourism marketing/PR agencies. Her main accounts were Carnival Cruise Lines and the Tourist Boards of Kenya (EU-funded project), the British Virgin Islands and the Great Lakes of North America.
After receiving her university degree in nutritional science in Gießen, Petra Schildbach volunteered at dfv Media Group in Frankfurt. For ten years, she worked as a specialist journalist with a focus on the hotel and tourism sector as well as fashion, lastly as department head of the trade magazine for the hotel and gastronomy industry, NGZ – Der Hotelier (today a supplement of AHGZ) and feature editor of Sportswear International in Milan/Italy.
In 1995, Petra Schildbach switched to the other side of the desk and ever since, has been looking after national as well as international companies as a freelance PR consultant, mainly in the tourism and lifestyle sector. International hotel groups are amongst her clients as well as individual hotels, design companies and furniture manufacturers.
